Tim Talley purchased the building in 2006 from Mike Casey, who purchased it from Mom in 2001, and undertook an extensive remodel. Prior to that, Casey made significant structural renovations to save the building, particularly on the foundation and basement.

While I'd spent decades from childhood to adulthood going in and out the second floor, I'd never before seen the windows from the outside. Granddaddy had covered all those fragile windows with siding wrapped around the second floor. By removing the siding, the old White's Auto Parts sign painted on the building was revealed--something else I'd never seen.
